[The Starved Margaret is an original web sitcom written and created by Josh Mendoza, starring Lauren L’Amour and Frank Mederos, artwork and designs by Lauren Bender.] While the film industry lures the starry-eyed with promise of fame and fortune--much like the alluring call of the sirens to sailors-- the starved Margaret L'Amour and her best friend, simply known as Freddie, set out to conquer where many before them have found themselves wrecked by disillusionment. Though Margaret is ill-tempered, slightly malnurished, foul-mouthed, and according to casting directors, "Not really Hollywood material", she has no desire to quit in her pursuit of fame, and even if she wanted to quit, Freddie is too committed to her success to let her. At the core of The Starved Margaret is a story about dieting on oranges, name-calling, citric-shits, bravery, and friendship. Most importantly, it is a story we are all very familiar with: a story about doing what you love, simply because you love doing it.
